About Petyrrolls.com
Welcome to Petyr Rolls. This web site is intended to be a platform for a variety of subjects including Electronic Design and Fabrication, Machine tool practice and accessible machine shop design, My experiences with various software platforms such as KiCad, LTSpice, Qgis, Solidworks and others, Hacks for living with a disability, fictional short stories, and even autobiographical stories. However, the main impetus in creating this web site is as a platform for beta testing the Chiawana/Tapteal Water Trail maps and explanatory material. As such the distribution is currently limited to board members of the Tapteal Greenway and Save Our Shoreline as well as a few other who may have something to contribute. While we are not attempting to limit knowledge of this site, the site is very rough and the information contained in it needs revision and expansion before release to the general public.
So I am asking each of you to do a series of simple tests and get back to me on whether it worked for you on what platform and browser. Were looking for a test of performance and have lesser concern about the content. However, I believe this is a unique capability and I am quite willing to work with those who might want to add it to an existing website or communicate information to local land managers such as the USACE, WDFW, DoEcol, and RCO. I know that RCO especially encourages interactive mapping as a communication tool and the ability to do so improves chances of winning proposals.
To get started, click the link at the left “Chiawana and Tapteal Water Trails” where you will find greater information and instructions for testing.
